Aspen is a great idea when it's cold out and you want a warm fun place to go dine, have fun, or even dance. Unfortunately it's not ideal in the summer months when the huge fire-pit is just there and its not on because obviously it would be silly to drink in a sweat lodge... or is it? I wonder if one could get a lot drunker in sauna-like temperatures with sweat dripping from your body, I bet the dress code would be fun. Girls in bikinis, cold beers, the fire-pit. But I digress. I like this place because it has a really warm cozy feeling when you enter, not just temperature-wise. The staff is genuinely nice and very helpful and accommodating and the decor is wooden ski-lodge themed. The menu consists of an eclectic American mix from southwest favorites like brook trout tacos (current food quest) and all-American dishes like bison sliders. I am constantly surprised by how good the food is here because it's kind of under the radar. On weekends the place is really bumping like a club, which is great if your on a first date and you want to dry hump your date immediately after getting her drunk on cocktails like acai-margaritas and poached pear martinis and disguised the whole plan as a simple 'dinner' for two. On really cold days like when it snows the drinks are half off which is nice except global warming (Hummers) are ruining my chances on this deal. It is a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth a visit.

Sexy update: The fire-pit becomes a fountain in the spring/summer and hot girls can swim in it naked like in Batman Begins... Yesssss!
