This place is a cool speak easy in the lower east side. I was greeted at the door by a bouncer who was incredibly polite and told me they were full at the moment but could take my number and call me when there was availability in not more than 30 minutes. He called me within 10. Now this bouncer is supposedly famous on food blogs for being a jerk. But I could not see it. I was so ready for someone worse than Cerebus at Hell's gate but no, he was nicer than an old lady after a throw. Some of the comments i've read about him are really funny, i'll attach one to the post. I especially like when one girl starts attacking another and calling her an 'alien' for regularly paying 14 dollars for a martini. But I digress. This place was really cool and the bartenders had facial hair, like Chuck Norris. The lighting was dim which made it impossible to read the size 10 script font for all the menu items but I managed somehow and ordered a China Fizz. The drink had egg whites which made it super foamy. The bartender prepared the drink like a chemist. It was hypnotizing. I also tried the duck quesedilla. It was an awesome bar snack. I really like it here.
